Learn more about Microsoft Power BI

Microsoft Power BI is an application that allows you to transform data into attractive and interactive visual dashboards for easy data analysis and decision-making. Once your report is created, you can share it with your colleagues.

But what if you don't want to distribute the entire data on your dashboard to all users?
Microsoft Power BI provides filter tools: they allow you to keep only the data that really interests your employees. Thus, the analysis of your dashboards is facilitated, because only important data appears on the screen. In addition, it allows you not to multiply the creation of dashboards with simple sorting between what your colleagues can or cannot see. With slicers, be even more accurate and quickly sort through your data, such as removing unnecessary or hidden columns from your database. You can also use them to target your reports even more by adding them to important visual objects, on your dashboard.

To make collaboration easier, while controlling who can access your reports and data, Microsoft
Power BI and its new workspace experience allows you to define roles for each of the people you'll share your dashboards with. Greater flexibility is therefore possible: from "Administrator" to "Viewer", through "Contributor" and "Member", choose for each group of users or for each colleague how it will be possible for him/her to contribute to your reports. Each role comes with its own features and possibilities. Finally, associate these roles with filters and use Microsoft Power BI's row-level security to restrict access to data to certain users.

With these different features, collaboration around your dashboards and reports becomes more accurate, ensuring you have control over changes made in your Microsoft Power BI workspaces.
